The Maui Orchid Society General Membership Meeting started at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at the Wailuku (Velma McWayne Santos) Community Center.
The speaker for the evening was Benjamin Oliveros of the Big Island, who discussed his experience with naming/identifying orchids, and how complex and frustrating the process may be. So much so, that he ended naming his cross of B. nodosa x B. grandilfora to B. Ridiculous.
