General Membership Meeting

Location: Velma McWayne Santos Community Center - Wailuku

 

 

MOS hosted Bob Harris and Jennifer Snyder, Owners/Operators of Orchidpeople, LLC. on the Big Island at its January General Membership Meeting.  Bob graciously shared his enthusiasm and knowledge of Cymbidiums including the type of medium, watering, fertilizing and climate requirements.  Bob and Jennifer have years of experience cultivating varities of Cymbidiums.  

MOS President Donna Brown presented Martha Suzuki with Orchidist of the Year for 2019.  Martha took home a bowl and boxes full of orchids to add to her collection. Well done Martha!

Members were also reminded that 2020 membership renewal is due and can be paid at meetings or by mail.  Click here for membership form.

Maui Orchid Society AOS judges presented two awarded plants from the Show & Tell tables. 

 

Jeff Bagshaw shared Andy Okada's 8100 Dendrochilum wenzelii "Makawao Gold" which was awarded CCE/AOS 90 points.

 

Mike Blietz presented Aloha Aina Orchids 8099 Renanthera Wynn McPheeters "Aloha Aina Orchids" AM/AOS award with 84 points.
